Nowadays, after Matric exams, children and even parents are unable to decide which field they should study in the future due to a lack of proper guidance and knowledge.

The majority of the students seem to be frustrated due to a lack of help in choosing the course. There are many paths in front of the students and they are not guided in the right direction.

 

There are many students who are not familiar with all the departments after Matric.

 

Below is a brief introduction to the various departments of intermediate level after Matric, so that students can easily choose the department of their choice.

Science Group (F.Sc)

 

In FSC, English, Urdu, Islam and Pakistan Studies subjects are taught compulsorily and the rest of the subjects are selected by us from different groups.

In F.Sc, students generally tend towards dual fields and these fields are as follows.

1. Pre-Middle

2. Pre-Engineer

 

  1. Pre-Medical Group

As the name suggests, those who enter this group go into other sub-disciplines of medicine or biology. The compulsory subjects of FSC Pre-Medical Group are as follows.

Physics – Chemistry – Biology

Students are introduced to these various subjects in the classroom and after passing FSC Pre-Intermediate with good marks, they have opportunities to pursue MBBS.

After FSC Pre-Medical, apart from MBBS, there are two other fields called Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM).

BDS students become dental specialists and DVM students become veterinarians. In addition to these departments, there is also a four-year BS honors program after the pre-medical, intermediate, which can be pursued in the various departments of biology, including zoology, botany, biotechnology, dairy farming and fisheries. Allied Health Sciences, Agriculture, Environmental Sciences etc. are included. Bachelor’s degrees in Doctor of Pharmacy and Doctor of Physiotherapy consist of 5 years in which the world is taught about the manufacture and use of medicines.

Pre-Engineering Group

After doing pre-engineering or FSC, the student will have many opportunities to create a curriculum.

General Science Group:

Apart from FSC pre-medial and pre-engineering, a large number of students have also been admitted in the general science group. Students who wish to do intermediate in General Science group, they choose compulsory subjects like English, Urdu, Islam, Pakistan Studies and various final subjects, which include Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Geography etc. Students do not go ahead and seek admission in various degree courses.

Arts Group (FA):

In addition to the compulsory subjects, FA students have to choose from any of the following subjects: Islam, Philosophy, Physical Education, Punjabi, Persian, Arabic, Urdu Literature and Sox.

It is said that doing FA is useless, this is completely wrong. In fact, a person can make his mark in the field in which he works. People who have completed FA, BA in important positions have passed the competitive examinations of Pakistan Civil Services (CSS) and Provincial Administrative Departments (PMS) and obtained these positions and are serving the government. After BA students are associated with journalism, teaching and various administrative departments.

Computer Science Group (ICS):

In the concept of being a “global giant” the importance of the computer is obvious. Computer education is being conducted at ICS at elementary level which is intermediate level education. Currently, students choose Computer, Mathematics and Physics or Statistics along with compulsory subjects. ICS students then take admission in 3-year BCS or 4-year BSCS, BSIT or Software Engineering.

Commerce Group (I.Com):

Commerce or business is the most important field in today’s era. I.Com courses are organized from the intermediate level to teach various mysteries and secrets of business. Apart from Pakistan, optional subjects like Mathematics, Accounts, Economics, Geography and Banking were also included. I.Com students take admission in BIT, BBIT, BBA, B.Com etc. courses after 2 years of I.Com.

Diploma Group (D.A.E):

Choosing the right course for students after Matric is a big problem and they don’t understand where to study and call. For this problem, especially those who are inclined towards engineering, D.A.E is also a way to get education and advance in engineering. Diploma of Associate Engineering which is 3 years post matriculation (for science students only) and after completion of which this diploma is equivalent to F.Sc.

One advantage of doing diploma is that it is a tickler course and after doing diploma in public sector you get job up to 14 skills. After doing D.A.E if you want to study further then you can do BS engineering and BS technology in your respective field.

D.A.E is conducted in both Urdu and English language in both government and private institutions. Diploma holders coming out of Lucknow government colleges are more qualified than private ones and they are also valued more in the industry.

Conditions of entry

For DAE, it is mandatory to be a science student and all government colleges offer admission on merit basis.

Diplomas are also conducted in many private institutes but they have very less teaching and faculty facilities than government institutes. This is because the students of government colleges are given more importance than FLA.

The annual fees of government colleges are also less, while the fees of private institutions are higher.

A diploma awarding board exists in every province. For example, Punjab Board of Taklabka Education, Khabar Pakhtunkhwa Board of Taklabka Education, Balochistan Board of Taklabka Education, etc. Similarly, all provincial boards are performing this work and all project institutions must join them.

Paramedical Courses:

Paramedical courses refer to courses that are conducted to prepare people who work as assistants and hospital attendants with doctors. There are two types of courses. One is an assistant and the other is a technician.

Assistants such as dispensers, operation theater technicians, clothing registry assistants, etc., have a skill level of 6. In Sindh province, Assistant Skilled 9 and Technicians are given Skiller 11.

These courses are usually after Matric while some after FSC. For eligibility in Paramedical Courses, Matric Science (Biology) is required and 50% marks in Science subject is required.

There are many government institutions and hospitals for these courses, while many private institutions are also registered. In government institutes, the admission fee is almost negligible and the training is also good, while students in private institutes have to pay heavy fees, which range from 30 thousand to 60 thousand.

By the way, there are many government institutions and hospitals in which these courses are conducted, but only five private institutions have been created specifically for these courses. These are as follows.

Apart from these, these courses are also conducted in various government hospitals. They include Lahore Hospital, Ganga Ram Hospital, Services Hospital, General Hospital, Social Security Hospital, Shakhal Zayed Hospital, National Institute of Health and Pims Hospital Islamabad and Gharla. The hunts conducted under Paramedics are as follows.

While the Institute of Public Health is equivalent to BSc Laboratory and Dental Technician at Moh Hospital, it is also conducted. Among these institutions which are showing the best overall performance is Parham Medical School Sahotal and another is Sheikh Zaid Hospital Lahore.

آجکل میٹرک کے امتحانات کے بعد بچے اور حتیٰ کہ والدین بھی مناسب رہنمائی اور علم نا ھونے کے باعث فیصلہ نہیں کر پاتے کہ وہ آگے بچوں کو کس شعبے کی تعلیم دلوائیں۔

جیسا کہ نام سے ظاہرہے کہ اس گروپ میں جانے والے میڈیکل یا بائیولوجی کے دیگر ذیلی شعبہ جات کی طرف جاتے ہیں۔ایف ایس سی پری میڈیکل گروپ کے لازمی مضامین مندرجہ ذیل ہیں

فزکس – کیمسٹری – بیالوجی

طلبا کو میٹرک میں ان تینوں مضامین کابنیادی تعارف کروا دیا جاتا ہے اور ایف ایس سی پری میڈیکل اچھے نمبروں سے پاس کرنے کے بعدان کے پاس ایم بی بی ایس کرنے کے مواقع ہوتے ہیں۔

ایف ایس سی پری میڈیکل کے بعد ایم بی بی ایس کے علاوہ دو اور شعبے بھی ہیں جن کو بیچلر آف ڈینٹل سرجری(BDS) اور ڈاکٹر آف ویٹرنری میڈیسن (DVM) کا نام دیاجاتا ہے۔

پری انجینئرنگ میں ایف ایس سی کرنے کے بعد طالبعلم کے پاس کیرئیر بنانے کے بے شمار مواقع دستیاب ہوتے ہیں۔

جنرل سائنس گروپ :

کہا جاتا ہے کہ ایف اے کرنے کاکوئی فائدہ نہیں، یہ بات بالکل غلط ہے۔ درحقیقت انسان جس شعبے میں محنت کرے،اس میں اپنی پہچان بناسکتا ہے۔ بڑے بڑے اہم عہدوں پرفائزایف اے، بی اے کرنے والے لوگوں نے پاکستان میں سول سروسز (CSS) اور صوبائی انتظامی شعبہ جات(PMS) کے مقابلہ جاتی امتحانات پاس کرکے یہ عہدے حاصل کیے اورحکومت میں خدمات سر انجام دے رہے ہیں۔ایف اے کرنے کے بعدبی اے میں داخلہ لینے والے طلبا صحافت ،درس وتدریس اور مختلفانتظامی شعبہ جات سے منسلک ہوتے ہیں۔

 

کمپیوٹر سائنس گروپ(ICS):

”گلوبل ویلیج” ہونے کے تصورمیں کمپیوٹر کی اہمیت مسلمہ ہے۔ کمپیوٹر کی تعلیم میں ابتدائی سطح پرآئی سی ایس کروایاجارہاہے جوکہ انٹرمیڈیٹ کی سطح کی تعلیم ہے۔ اس میں طلبا وطالبات لازمی مضامین کے ساتھ ساتھ کمپیوٹر ، ریاضی اور فزکس یا Statistics کے مضامین کا انتخاب کرتے ہیں۔ آئی سی ایس کرنے والے طلبا اس کے بعد 3سالہ بی سی ایس (BCS)یا چار سالہ بی ایس سی ایس((BSCS، بی ایس آئی ٹی(BSIT) یا سافٹ ویئر انجینئرنگ میں داخلہ لیتے ہیں۔

داخلہ کی شرائط

ڈی اے ای کے لیے سائنس کا طالب علم ہونا لازمی ہے اور تمام سرکاری کالجوں میں میرٹ کی بنیاد پر داخلہ دیاجاتاہے ۔

ڈپلومہ بہت سے پرائیویٹ اداروں میں بھی کروائے جاتے ہیں لیکن ان میں سرکاری اداروں کی نسبت مشینری اور پریکٹیکل کے آلات بہت کم ہوتے ہیں۔یہی وجہ ہے کہ سرکاری کالجوں کے طلبا کوفیلڈ میں زیادہ اہمیت دی جاتی ہے۔

سرکاری کالجوں کی سالانہ فیسیں بھی کم ہوتی ہیں جبکہ ان کی نسبت پرائیویٹ اداروں کی فیسیں زیادہ ہوتی ہیں۔

ڈپلومہ کروانے والاایک بورڈ ہرصوبے میں موجود ہے۔ جیسے پنجاب بورڈ آف ٹیکنیکل ایجوکیشن ،خیبر پختونخوا بورڈ آف ٹیکنیکل ایجوکیشن ،بلوچستان بورڈ آف ٹیکنیکل ایجوکیشن وغیرہ۔اسی طرح تمام صوبوں میں بورڈزیہ کام سرانجام دے رہے ہیں اورتمام پرائیویٹ اداروں کاان سے الحاق ہونا ضروری ہے۔

 

 پیرامیڈیکل کورسز:

پیرامیڈیکل کورسزسے مراد وہ کورسز ہیں جو ڈاکٹرز کے ساتھ بطورِمعاون کام کرنے والے اور ہسپتال کوچلانے والے افراد تیار کرنے کے لیے کروائے جاتے ہیں۔ ان میں دو طرح کے کورسز ہوتے ہیں۔ ایک تواسسٹنٹ اور دوسرے ٹیکنیشنزہوتے ہیں۔

 

اسسٹنٹ جیساکہ ڈسپنسرز، آپریشن تھیٹر ٹیکنالوجی، لیبارٹری اسسٹنٹ وغیرہ ،ان کا سکیل 6 ہوتاہے۔ صوبہ سندھ میں اسسٹنٹ کوسکیل 9اور ٹیکنیشنز کو سکیل 11 دیا جاتاہے۔

یہ کورسز عموماً میٹرک کے بعد جبکہ کچھ ایف ایس سی کے بعدہوتے ہیں۔ پیرامیڈیکل کورسزمیں اہلیت کے لیے میٹرک سائنس (بیالوجی) ہوناضروری ہے اور سائنس مضامین میں سے 50% نمبرز ہوناضروری ہیں۔

ان کورسزکے لیے بہت سے سرکاری ادارے اور ہسپتال موجودہیں۔جبکہ بہت سے پرائیویٹ ادارے بھی رجسٹرڈ ہیں۔ سرکاری اداروں میں داخلہ فیس تقریباً نہ ہونے کے برابر ہوتی ہے اورٹریننگ بھی اچھی دی جاتی ہے جبکہ پرائیویٹ اداروں میں طلبا کوبھاری فیسیں ادا کرنا پڑتی ہیں جوکہ 30ہزار سے 60ہزار تک ہوتی ہیں۔

ویسے توبہت سے سرکاری ادارے اورہسپتال ہیں جن میں یہ کورسزکروائے جاتے ہیں لیکن پانچ ٹیکنیکل ادارے بالخصوص انہی کورسزکے لیے بنائے گئے ہیں۔ جوکہ مندرجہ ذیل ہیں۔
